Update for Windows 8.1 for 圆4-based Systems (KB3013769) Microsoft Silverlight (KB3056819) - installation shows as successful but reappears after checking for update again. The optional updates which are failing are: Other three are Update for Windows 8.1 for 圆4-based Systems (KB3035583), Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243) and Update for Windows 8.1 for 圆4-based Systems (KB2962409). That update is Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538242). I'm using Windows 8.1 圆4.ġ of 4 important shows like installed but after checking for updates again, it's listed again. I have 4 important updates and 2 optional which fails to install. I get back into Windows but as soon as I reboot it crashes again and I have to restore.I would like to ask for some assistance regarding Windows Update problem and some sfc corruption which I found when trying to troubleshoot WU problem. The system seems to be running great once I've run hard drive diagnostics and every thing checks out fine. It says after it sucessfully repairs Windows that it made 1 repair each time. I'm caught in a vicious loop here that I can't get out of. It also says that they can't be uninstalled. The only updates or programs I've installed are the Windows 7 updates after June 16, 2011. If during the repair cycle I tell it not to restore to a previous date then it runsįor a bit and tells me the system can't be repair but if I do a system restore after that is works fine again. I go into Windows and it hangs for a bit after the desktop appears then it says updates were installed and asks me to reboot.

If I tell it to restore to a previous date then it fixes the problem, I rebooted the computer and used the repair option. Windows failed to load the other day when it restarted after installing updates.
